What to expect!
Pilates is a form of exercise that was originally created by a man called Joseph Pilates. It was intended to help rehabilitate dancers and keep them strong while recovering from injuries.
​
The main focus of classes is on core strength; alignment of the skeleton and posture; and strength and mobility of the joints. We target these areas through a sequence of specific exercises designed to realign and strengthen the body.
​
I teach Matwork Pilates which involves exercises on a mat with the option of using small equipment such as pillows and pilates balls to help engage the correct muscles.
​
It is possible to do Pilates at any age and at any level of fitness.
